Marshall Food4Kids would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for its past support of our program. Marshall Food4Kids wrapped up its 12th year providing nutritious snacks to hungry children in our community on a weekly basis throughout the school year. The program currently serves an average of 860 students each week. Already this school year, we have provided more than 28,000 supplemental bags to reduce food insecurity.

Unfortunately, the need in our community is increasing. This school year we were forced to discontinue service to our 7th and 8th graders to fulfill the expanding need in the younger grades. The continually rising cost of food, coupled with the loss of one of our major grant providers, has our volunteers working overtime to identify additional grant and funding opportunities while continuing to provide this program. Throughout the year, children and their families tell us and our volunteers how important this program is to them.

Volunteers give generously of their time on a weekly basis, contributing more than 120 hours each month to make this program work:
• Board members purchase food items, bags, supplies
• Volunteers organize and prep the foodstuffs for packing events
• Board members supervise packing events several times a month
• Volunteers are made up of civic groups, students, church groups, and employee groups
• Drivers volunteer to pick up full totes, deliver to participating schools, and return empty totes weekly
• Board members also give presentations, write all grants, and work at fundraising events

Many of these volunteers help every week of the school year. A few have been with us since the beginning! We are grateful for all our volunteers and could in no way pack and deliver nearly five dozen totes of food to five schools every week without their dedication.

The amazing financial support of many individuals, local organizations, churches, foundations, businesses, and employee groups is imperative to the sustainability of the Marshall Food4Kids program. Sponsorships will allow us to continue serving children in the Marshall Public Schools, the alternative high school, and the Head Start program.

Marshall Food4Kids humbly requests that you prayerfully consider donating to our 2025 Sponsor A Child Campaign, which runs from July 1 to July 31. While $175 will sponsor a child for an entire year, any amount you can contribute makes a difference in the life of a child.
