The Marshall Food4Kids program began in 2013 and has grown to serve more than 400 students because of dedicated volunteers and the generous donations from foundations, companies and the community. But we need your help!
Please consider donating during our 2016 Sponsor A Child Campaign, which runs from today to May 22. Your sponsorship will allow us to continue serving children in Head Start and Kindergarten through 3rd Grade. Sponsorships are also needed to serve the hundreds of Elementary students waiting to be enrolled in the program.

Marshall Food4Kids is participating in another 45-day Schwan's Cares fundraising campaign. The Schwan's fundraising program allows customers to send 20% their order cost to a charity of their choice. The purchase of an eCertificate online will donate 40% to the program.
To participate in the fundraiser, orders can be placed on the Marshall Food4Kids fundraiser page or by calling the toll free number 1-855-870-7208 (Option 2) with campaign ID 20698. Existing Schwan’s customers must order online or over the phone to contribute to the fundraiser as at door sales do not count. To maximize your donation, purchase a $25 Schwan's eCertificate with $10 going to Marshall Food4Kids. One certificate per person per campaign can be purchased.
The fundraising campaign runs from May 11 to June 25. After June 25 all purchases made through the campaign will give 5% of order costs to Marshall Food4Kids.
We're delighted to announce the Otto Bremer Foundation has awarded the Marshall Food4Kids program $13,500, fully funding our grant request for the second year in a row. Marshall Food4Kids currently has about 400 students enrolled in the program.
The Otto Bremer Foundation strives to help build healthy, vibrant communities—communities where basic needs are met, mutual regard is prized and opportunities for economic, civic and social participation are within everyone’s reach.
The Otto Bremer Foundation owns 92 percent of Bremer Bank and receives an equivalent share of the bank profits that are paid out as dividends. This means that a large portion of bank profit is invested back in local communities through grants and program-related investments. In 2013, the Foundation provided approximately $38.3 million in grants and program-related investments. Find more info on their website: www.ottobremer.org/.
The Walmart Foundation has awarded the Marshall Food4Kids program a $1000 grant as part of their Local Facility Giving Program. Funds from the program must benefit the community within the service area of a facility - in this case the Marshall Walmart Supercenter store #1722.
This is the first time Marshall Food4Kids has been selected for a grant through the Local Facility Giving Program.
The Walmart Foundation, established in 1979, meets the needs of the underserved by directing charitable giving toward 4 core areas of focus: Hunger Relief & Healthy Eating, Sustainability, Women's Economic Empowerment and Career Opportunity. As part of its Hunger Relief & Healthy Eating program the Walmart Foundation donated more than 571 million pounds of food – the equivalent of 369 million meals – to local food banks and hunger relief organizations and contributed nearly $80 million in national, state and local grants to nonprofits across the nation.
